A Breath of Fresh Air

An in-depth introduction to the Mindfulness of Breathing meditation

Tuesdays October 27th to December 8th

Breathing is something we tend to take for granted. How much we depend on it, and how it connects us all may be brought to mind by our current times. The air we breathe, and the process of breathing itself though can offer a tried and trusted path to inner liberation.

The Buddha outlined this path when he gave his teaching on the recollection of in and out breathing (Anapanasati Sutta). There he showed how the practise of meditation on the breath brings mindfulness to its fruition, opening the door to Insight and Awakening. One tradition holds that the Buddha himself was meditating on the breath when he gained Enlightenment.

We are delighted to present this new 7-week course, open to all, that provides a thorough introduction to the practise of meditation on the breath. Taking the Buddha as our guide, we will give you the practical tools to make meditation a fulfilling thread that runs through and enhances your whole life. In this we we offer what may truly be a breath of fresh air!

Each week comprises instruction, led meditation, and the chance to raise questions and discuss  your meditation with the teacher.

Tuesdays 7-8.30pm on Zoom. There is no charge but a donation of around £5 each week is very welcome
